Activity Information and Response forms

There will be an online response form that each Pathfinder, staff, parent and staff child can fill out letting us know whether or not they will be attending every club activity.

For those families with more than one person, the form will need to be filled out for each one. This includes the Pathfinders, staff, parents, staff children, and any siblings.  Please do not bring anyone to club activities without making sure that they have been signed up!

Once you fill out the Response Form and you click the submit button you will see a message that says "Thank you.  Your information has been submitted."  If there is a * then the field is required, and it won't submit without it being filled in.

January Update

I hope everyone had a great holiday break.  As you all know, we started this year with the church being closed due to the rise in COVID cases and Gov. Lee's executive order to minimize contact with others in large crowds.  Last night at the Church Board meeting, it was decided to open the church back up for worship on January 23.  The church will be open for Pathfinders and other events, beginning on January 20.  Due to manys lack of interest in doing Pathfinders via Zoom, we decided to start back in the church next week.  The meeting tonight will still be by Zoom.

There was a Junior Event that was on the calendar for this coming weekend is now being pushed forward to January 23.

We are planning a day event for the entire club on January 23.  We will be meeting at Chickamauga Battlefield from 12:00 to 6:00pm (meeting place still to be determined). Please either bring a sack lunch or family picnic lunch for your child or family. Plan to eat from 12:00-12:45PM.  Parents will need to transport their children as we still have not gotten the OK to provide transportation. We also would love to have you parents/families stay and join us for the day.  We plan to spend the afternoon working on the New National Park Honor and do some hiking, biking, etc.  We are also looking at the option for the kids to do the Junior Ranger Badge with the park.  I am going to go talk with the park rangers and see what else that they can provide.

If you have a National Park Passport book please bring that to get your stamp.  If you don't know what that is, you will be learning about it during the activity.  We will be providing a way for those that do not have a National Park Passport yet, to receive their park stamp. Parents are welcome to work on this new honor along with the Pathfinders.

This activity will take place rain or shine, cold or hot.  As always, all appropriate safety measures will be followed. Here is what you will need:
  • Rain gear if needed
  • Blue club t-shirt
  • Shoes suitable for hiking
  • Water bottle
  • Notebook and pencil or pen
  • Lunch
At our last staff meeting, it was decided to waiver the January dues.  This was due to the fact that we would not be able to meet in person.  With us going back to the church next week, we will still waiver the January dues.

Next week we will send the meeting location and any other final details.
