Activity Information and Response forms
There will be an online response form that each Pathfinder, staff, parent and staff child can fill out letting us know whether or not they will be attending every club activity.
For those families with more than one person, the form will need to be filled out for each one. This includes the Pathfinders, staff, parents, staff children, and any siblings. Please do not bring anyone to club activities without making sure that they have been signed up!
Once you fill out the Response Form and you click the submit button you will see a message that says "Thank you. Your information has been submitted." If there is a * then the field is required, and it won't submit without it being filled in.

GCC Camporee-April 2024 (Deadline March 10) |
SonRise |
The Georgia-Cumberland Conference Camporee at Cohutta Springs will be April 25-28, 2024. Deadline to respond is March 10 at 6:30PM. Just a reminder this event starts on a Thursday.
Please fill out this form by March 10. Here we will also gather information about transportation, meals and special food needs. We need this form completed for EVERY Pathfinder, staff, etc. AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! The deadline to respond is March 10. The registration cost of this Camporee is included in each Pathfinder's monthly dues, but if you sign up and then do not attend you will be charged the $40 non-refundable Conference fee plus $30 for food ($70 total). If you are a parent who wishes to attend and help, there will be a $70 fee. You must come for the entire weekend, there are no day passes for this event. For any of you who need to drive your own vehicle, once it is unloaded it MUST be parked outside the gates. No vehicles (except the one pulling the small trailer) will be allowed in the camping area. Excused Absence - We will send the list of Pathfinders to the SDA schools letting them know that your child will be attending the Camporee so that they will be excused from Friday's classes. For those kids who attend public school there will be a letter from the Conference Pathfinder director available requesting that the kids are excused. Class A Uniform - Just a reminder that you will need to bring your complete Class A uniform to wear on Sabbath morning for the Parade and church services. On Friday we will be wearing our blue club t-shirt. If you need to do anything other than leave and return at the same times as the club, please put that information in the comments of the Response Form Leave: Thursday, April 25 Meet at 3:30PM. Leave promptly at 4:00PM Return: Sunday, April 28 1:00PM (this is tentative) No pets of any kind are allowed to be brought onto the Cohutta Springs Campground. |
Once again, the club will participate in SonRise. We will have a 'shop' in the Jerusalem Marketplace that everyone (Pathfinders, staff, parents and supervised siblings) is welcome to participate in. You may participate in any of the volunteer options, and it will count towards the community service hours for Investiture Achievement. Our shop is generally a flower and scented oil shop. Response Form
If you will be here through lunch time, bring a lunch and water in a container that looks like bible times (example: basket), or some way to cover it. You can also bring a camp chair, as long as you have a plain blanket, sheet or something to cover it with. Anyone helping in the Jerusalem Marketplace will need to wear a bible times costume that you will provide (check your email for the pattern to make one). Those participating will not need to get tickets to attend SonRise, we would appreciate it if you would help out for at least 2 hours in the shop or handing out palm branches. "Believe the Promise" International Camporee 2024
"Believe the Promise" Parent's Letter
Believe the Promise" Commitment Letter
The International Pathfinder Camporee happens only once every 5 years. We encourage everyone to attend if possible. This year it will be in Gillette, WY. The theme for the 2024 Camporee will be “Believe the Promise” featuring Moses and Miriam. There will be awesome activities, chances to work on exciting honors, and an incredible program every night. To learn more about the camporee check out "Believe the Promise" International Camporee.
The cost to go to the Camporee will be $1300 per person. This price is for everyone, Pathfinders, staff, and staff kids. The cost includes your ticket to the Camporee (+ insurance) $235, thirty meals ($200.00), approx. cost for transportation to and from the Camporee ($625), and ($250.00) miscellaneous expenses (trading pins, t-shirts, food while traveling, and any other club activities we do during the trip). Attached is a Letter of Commitment that we need everyone planning to go to the camporee to fill out. There will be copies of the letter at the Pathfinder meetings.
We are hoping to fly but won’t have the cost of that for a little longer, so transportation is subject to change. In the meantime, we have already reserved buses to transport our club to the Camporee. We are planning for all of our club members and staff to ride the buses. If you do not plan to ride the bus with us, we need to know ahead of time when you sign up but beware if you decide later that you want to ride the bus there may not be room.
Also, if you plan to ride the bus and then change your mind, you will still be charged the transportation cost unless we are able to fill your spot on the bus. (Or, if we end up flying, and the plane ticket has already been purchased, the cost will be non-refundable.)
Because we plan to purchase our tickets as soon as possible to make sure we can get them at the $225/ticket rate (+$10 for insurance), we are asking for anyone interested in attending the Camporee to sign the commitment form and turn it in to Karen at the front desk.
We would like to have the signed commitment for all those interested in going by November 10th. We will purchase the first round of tickets shortly thereafter. We will try to make a second ticket purchase at the beginning of January, if necessary and assuming there are still tickets available. (Also, ticket prices go up in January and any tickets purchased after that time will have that fee added to what you owe.)
To confirm your space, you will need the first payment of $145 non-refundable deposit. Checks should be made payable to: Collegedale Pathfinders with “Pathfinder Camporee” marked in the memo/subject.
There are significant opportunities for you to offset the cost by participating in fundraisers such as the “Miracles” book sale, selling camporee puzzles, participating in the VM sales, and other fundraisers that will be held during the year. Parents can help with the fundraising with or for their kids. Some people have already raised enough to cover the full cost of the trip just by helping with fundraising.
Please ask your counselor about these and other opportunities to fundraise and reduce your trip costs. The following is a suggested payment schedule:
